The Smallholders Online newsletter has now ceased
To keep up with all the usual smallholders crowd, please join our new Smallholders Network by clicking on the icon below.
We feel sure that this new method of staying in touch will prove to be even more useful.
Smallholders Online aims to provide a single point of reference for all things smallholding. Newcomers can search an archive of information or ask specific questions through the pages of this website, while the regular e-mail newsletter carries an open exchange of topical news and views on smallholding, self reliance and sustainable living..
Our editorial stance is non-political but unashamedly "green", supportive of organic and local food production, and opposed to the centralisation and international trade of agribusiness. We believe passionately that smallholding offers real benefits to environmental and human health, and to national food security, in comparison to the damaging effects of industrialised farming.
Our editorial policy is to promote honest and open debate, informed by both practical experience and sound science.
